Being stuck at home thinking the family’s safety is everyone’s top priority and now that we are slowly returning to normal, traveling abroad is one of the things everyone is excited to do. One of the nearest and comfortable countries to visit by many Filipinos is Singapore. I will share with you then Singapore Entry Requirements for Travellers before 31 March 2022 23:59h in order to enter the finest city in South East Asia.
As restrictions are being lifted, every Filipinos are so excited to go out of their own houses and visit places and we are no exception to that. As we received the news that Singapore allows visitors from the Philippines effective March 4, 2022, my sister asked me to book a flight for three for Singapore.
Requirements are just as easy as one two three. Feel free to read down below.
VACCINATION CERTIFICATE
Vaccination Certificate is needed before you can apply for your VTP as it is required for upload. You may get your Vaccination certificate here.

BOOK A FLIGHT
As I am so fond of looking for cheap flights like a curator, I am tasked to do the booking of our flights. I first then check at Skyscanner.com.

Skyscanner.com is one of my go to sites to visit whenever I look for cheap flights. Skyscanner is a metasearch engine and travel agency based in Edinburgh, Scotland. The site is available in over 30 languages and is used by 100 million people per month. The company lets people research and book travel options for their trips, including flights, hotels and car hire. You may find cheap flights here.
I also checked on Scoot Tigerair Pte Ltd, operating as Scoot. It is a Singaporean low-cost airline and a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines. It had the cheapest ticket amongst Cebu Pacific & Jetstar that’s why it is where we had booked our flight to Singapore.

For our ticket back to Manila I had it booked with Jetstar Airways Pty Ltd, operating as Jetstar. It is an Australian low-cost airline headquartered in Melbourne. For our ticket back to Manila, they had the cheapest flight to get.

PURCHASE TRAVEL INSURANCE WITH COVID 19 COVERAGE
Flying out of the country is so different now, few years ago you can just go out of the country without thinking of purchasing an insurance hehehe well that’s for me. Singapore government mandates to purchase a minimum of $ 30,000 insurance which will cover your hospitalization bills if ever you’ll get sick. But from 31 March 2022 23:59h, travel insurance will not be mandatory for FULLY VACCINATED TRAVELLERS, you may check below.
I’ve tried getting one with Etiqa Philippines; they had the cheapest amongst the Insurance companies I had asked. But, if you are traveling with kids, they don’t have covid 19 coverage. You may get a quote on this link.

Then I’ve asked with AXA Philippines too and they offer Covid 19 coverage for kids. That’s why we choose AXA over Etiqa to purchase our insurance, just make sure to connect with your agent for the Covid 19 Coverage Certificate. You may try to get a quote here.

However, you can also purchase your insurance in a Singapore based insurer. You may check here for some good lists.
COVID-19 PCR & ART
At the time of this writing, it is mandatory if you are traveling to Singapore to have your swab test and be negative within 48 hours before departure. This should be done in a DOH accredited clinic or hospital. In our case we choose Bulacan Medical and Graman Medical & Maternity hospital as the second option.
As Bulacan Med costs much higher than Graman we opt to choose the latter. We paid 3,360 each for our RNA RT-PCR Test which was done so quickly, even my niece just uttered “ohh it just tickles!.” The result would be out within 18 hours but ours were already available after 4 hours.

Then, we did the unsupervised self-administered ART as a requirement within 24 hours of arrival in Singapore. Travellers are required to report their test result via https://www.sync.gov.sg before proceeding with their activities in Singapore.
VACCINATED TRAVEL PASS
At the time of this writing before you can enter Singapore, everyone needs to apply for VTP except for kids.
It’s just easy to accomplish and you will received a letter on your registered e-mail. For ease in the airport checkpoints, it is advisable to print these as these are one of the requirements in SG Immigrations.
From 31 March you will no longer need this one, as Singapore is open to all fully vaccinated travellers. You may refer to this link to know more about the travel requirements.
Singapore Arrival Card
The usual white card that you fill out before landing was changed into an electronic one. You just need to input your details, these are usually done 3 days before you enter Singapore. If you had uploaded your Vaccination Certificate in your VTP, the QR code will not be uploaded anymore in the SG arrival card.
After Immigration checkpoint you will then received an e-mail for the allowed length of stay in Singapore. Safekeep this e-mail for the entire duration of your stay in Singapore. Also, don’t forget to download the Trace together app as it is needed to be used in your entire visit to Singapore.
There you have it, now that restrictions are being lifted we are slowly going to the new normal. These requirements are vital before you pass both Philippines and Singapore Immigrations.
Just a run down…
